We have migrated our API keys to a shorter version. Previously, we used JWT tokens as API keys, which had the advantage of scaling well since we didn't need to query storage to verify their validity and ownership. However, they had some drawbacks, such as being difficult to manage. If a user's API key was leaked, they had to contact support to have it blacklisted. Additionally, the size of the JWT tokens was still relatively long, even after we modified them by removing the header section.
We have now transitioned to new, shorter API keys that allow users to invalidate them directly from their dashboard. To ensure a smooth transition, old API keys will continue to work until they reach their expiry time. We chose to integrate Blast to expand options for developers, and respond to community demand. Blast is an Ethereum-compatible optimistic rollup and includes a built-in yield feature designed to enhance revenue and preserve value for its network users. We can’t wait to see the amazing projects you’ll create and the new heights you’ll reach with this integration.
